Job Summary
Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary and automatic bindery machines to cut, fold, bind, and trim printed materials into finished products. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform scheduled maintenance, and make adjustments to coordinate multiple workstations while monitoring quality, output, and productivity. Direct crew through all aspects of production, inspect equipment for safety issues, and maintain accurate job counts in accordance with Pregis policies. Perform required cleaning and adhere to safety guidelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED
- proven experience as a Bindery/Cutter Operator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of operating cutting and binding equipment
- Proficient in interpreting job specifications and setting up machines accordingly
- Strong attention to details and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common machines issues
- Good physical stamina
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions
- Ability to adhere to safe work practices
- 223 rotating 12-hour shifts
- Overtime required per business demand
- Personal Protective Equipment required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with mbo folder and vacuum table converting
