Job Summary
Operator II with CDL-A for mini excavator on utility construction sites. Operates mini excavator to dig around live utilities and place utilities for residential, multifamily, and commercial sites; performs hand digging, traffic control setup, and material loading. Reads utility prints, adheres to safety and DOT requirements, conducts equipment inspections, and maintains logs. Requires 1+ years of backhoe/mini excavator operation and CDL Class A; preferred 2+ years dry utilities and 3+ years construction experience. Must pass background checks and drug screen; flexible pay DOE ($28-$32/hour) and non-exempt classification.
Required Qualifications
- CDL Class A required
- 1+ years experience operating backhoe/mini excavator
- 1+ years digging around underground utilities
- 2+ years dry utilities experience preferred
- 3+ years construction experience required
- Ability to pass criminal background check and MVR
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
- English proficiency sufficient for records and orders
- Willingness to learn additional skills
