Job Summary
Operate Sandvik Di650, DiSS0, & DX800 DTH blast hole drills to meet daily blasting plans and production targets, ensuring accurate hole placement according to blast design. Conduct pre- and post-operational equipment inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and refills. Assist the blast crew as directed and maintain communication via two-way radios while reporting mechanical issues. Participate in safety toolbox talks and adhere to all site policies. This 3x3 fly-in/fly-out rotation is based in Nunavut, Canada, with an estimated annual earnings of $124,020 for 2184 scheduled hours.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years' experience operating drills in an Arctic drill/blast rock greenfield construction environment, i.e.: quarries, roads, plant sites, tank & camp pads, containment ponds, frozen core dams & open pits.
- Two (2) years' experience operating Di650, DiSS0 & DX800 equipment in a mining/blasting environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Working rights in Canada.
