Job Summary
Operate and maintain anaerobic digestion facility process equipment, including feedstock unloading, biogas production and upgrading, wastewater treatment, dewatering and processing. Monitor and control all systems, perform anaerobic digestion process control and preventative maintenance, and conduct equipment rounds. Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors on preventive/corrective maintenance; perform cleaning and general housekeeping in work areas; operate automotive equipment (heavy trucks, forklifts, front-end loaders); adhere to site safety requirements and wear PPE. May train or assist in training OITs and assigned helpers. Environment includes varied temperature extremes, noise, fumes, confined spaces, and heavy physical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of a chemical processing or wastewater treatment plant
- Grade IV or higher Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators Certificate preferred
- New Jersey Low Pressure Black Seal Boiler Operator License preferred
- Valid driver’s license
