Job Summary
Execute the daily production schedule to meet customer orders and rated throughput while ensuring product quality and safety standards. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery safely, properly handling ingredients and adhering to strict cleaning and allergen control procedures. Complete necessary paperwork, investigate production issues to find root causes, and take corrective action on food safety deficiencies as assigned by the Supervisor. Maintain safe working conditions and participate in mandatory training programs. This role requires a mechanically inclined operator with 1+ years of food manufacturing experience to work the 2nd shift (2:45pm–1:00am) in Robersonville, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Machine Operator experience
- Mechanically inclined with use of tools and tape measures
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with peers and leadership
- Ability to work cross-functionally, convey equipment issues, and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to think quickly and handle frequent change
- Detail oriented with the ability to organize and multitask
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with little supervision
- Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business need
- Ability to lift/carry 25 to 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate with others both verbally and in writing
- Be independently mobile
- Use a computer and keyboard
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, for extended periods
- Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection
- 2nd shift Operator shift needs flexibility, currently planned to be 2:45pm-1:00am
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of production procedures
- 1+ years of production experience in food manufacturing
