Job Summary
Operate mobile equipment and mechanical systems to transfer bulk commodities like fertilizer from inbound river barges, railcars, and trucks to storage tanks and outbound vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance on assets, repair mechanical operating systems, and maintain facility grounds. Assist with administrative tasks for product receipt, storage, and shipment while ensuring professional customer service. Follow all safety, environmental, and DOT policies, including working in extreme weather, noisy conditions, and confined spaces. Work extended hours and lift up to 100 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof
- generally three years experience
- valid driver's license
- satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to lift 71-100 lbs
- Willingness to work extended hours
- Ability and willingness to participate in required training
