Job Summary
Load, operate, and manufacture custom parts using CNC machining centers per work orders and blueprints. Maintain count, perform packaging duties, and execute routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication. Keep the work area clean and organized while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires flexibility for overtime and emergency production needs in a non-climate-controlled environment with noise and fume exposure. PPE is mandatory. The Gund Company, a family-owned manufacturer since 1951, specializes in engineered material solutions and customized electrical insulation parts across 16+ global facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with prior hands-on, vocational, or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience
- Experience with CNC milling machines or similar equipment
- Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs
- Ability to lift to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required
- Must be available for 2nd Shift, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Thursday
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a custom manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings
