Job Summary
Abbott Operator I in the Electrophysiology (EP) division in Plymouth, MN. Responsible for routine and repetitive assembly operations, casting/coating functions, examining medical devices for bubbles or epoxy issues, repairing defects with syringes and small tools, performing mechanical assembly, kitting and packaging, and reviewing device documentation for completeness and accuracy. Requires ability to read procedures, follow verbal instructions, utilize electronic data collection systems, prioritize tasks, handle small components, and make critical decisions with minimal supervision. Works with microscopes and specialized tools to patch, cure epoxy, and ensure quality across manufacturing steps; shift is Monday–Thursday with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures; understand and follow verbal instructions
- Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages
- Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance
- Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts
- Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision
- Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm with potential overtime
