Job Summary
Operate brewing, evaporating, or drying equipment; weigh, measure, mix, and pack food ingredients following specific formulas. Move product between warehouse and production areas using forklifts, load/unload bulk products, and transfer materials between facilities. Take product samples, perform basic lab testing, and complete production, inventory, receiving, and sanitation records. Monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make minor adjustments while following work orders and standard operating procedures. Participate in team meetings to support safety, quality, and GMP standards. Starting wage is $25.50/hour plus a shift premium. 2nd shift runs Monday-Friday from 4pm to Midnight; 3rd shift follows a Week On Week Off schedule (Midnight to 8am). Briess Industries, a family-owned leader in malted barley and natural specialty food ingredients since 1876, provides all necessary training for this hands-on role.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to operate forklifts
- Must be able to operate brewing, evaporating, or drying equipment
- Must be able to weigh, measure, mix, and pack food ingredients
- Must be able to take product samples and perform basic lab testing
- Must be able to complete production, inventory, receiving, and sanitation records
- Must be able to perform sanitation tasks and light maintenance
- Must be able to monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make minor adjustments
- Must be able to follow work orders and standard operating procedures
- Must be able to participate in team meetings
- Must be able to support safety, quality, and GMP standards
- Must be available for 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 4pm to Midnight
- Must be available for 3rd Shift, Week On Week Off schedule: Work 72 hours in a 2 week period, get paid for 84 hours (work 8 days get 6 days off in a two week period). Midnight to 8am
