Operator (Heavy Equipment)

Job Summary
Operate a range of heavy equipment (cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, bulldozers, dump trucks, and more) to excavate, load, move material, and haul on job sites. Perform daily safety and maintenance checks, supervise spotters as needed, and assist with laborer, carpentry, or masonry tasks. Maintain equipment and report repairs, practice workplace safety, and read simple plans/grade stakes. Must communicate clearly in English and work effectively as part of a team; CDL Class A license is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment safely and appropriately (cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, dump trucks, large industrial tractors with pan or scrapper attachments)
- Complete knowledge of truck and equipment safety and maintenance
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans
- Ability to communicate clearly and read and write in English
- Demonstrated sound work ethic
- CDL Class A operator’s license preferred
