Operate power equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and front-end loaders to excavate, move, and level dirt, rock, sand, and gravel. Push levers and depress pedals to control machine functions, including lifting, swinging, and dumping contents into trucks or stockpiles. Locate buried utilities prior to digging and maintain trenching and shoring standards while inspecting and maintaining company equipment. Perform non-machine tasks such as jackhammering, placing pipe in trenches, and mixing concrete or asphalt. Drive machines to the work place and exercise proper care during repeated lifting, kneeling, and crawling. Requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, and ability to stand for long periods with up to 50 lbs. lifting.
