Job Summary
Operate and set up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines and traditional cutters and folders in bindery. Enter data into ERP system to monitor performance, efficiency, and quality. Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, and preventive maintenance. Sample and monitor product quality and make modifications as needed. Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting and stabilizing performance. Replenish materials as needed. Print & Mail Production background with familiarity of print workflows and USPS regulations; machine operation experience with high-speed finishing equipment; ability to troubleshoot jams and alignment issues; read and interpret safety and operation manuals; able to perform basic math. High School Diploma or GED required. Supervisory responsibilities: Not applicable. Work environment is a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility. Physical demands include standing up to 12 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive motions in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience operating a high speed processing and finishing system in the printing and mailing industry
- Machine Operation Experience with high-speed finishing equipment (inserters, folders, cutters, stackers, unwinders, stitchers, binders)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (integers, fractions, decimals)
