Job Summary
Collect process samples, run lab analyses, and document actions to assess process changes. Monitor field equipment via inspection and instrumentation, adjusting and troubleshooting as needed. Ensure railcar and trailer loading/unloading schedules follow quality control procedures. Track all chemical process production through the Distributive Control System (DCS). Complete administrative duties including checklists, lockouts, and paperwork accurately. Rotate through Unit Lab, Shipping, Outside, and DCS positions after three years of qualification. Work a rotating four-on, four-off, days/nights, 12-hour shift schedule onsite at the Longview facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Safe, efficient operations and compliance with Solvay Life Saving Rules and Site Safety Rules
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements
- Safety awareness
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work rotating four-on, four-off, Days/Nights, 12 hour shift schedule
