Job Summary
Operate machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets to excavate and load loose materials, then transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites. Maintain the truck in good working condition by performing routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations, while reporting any mechanical issues to the supervisor. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in an environment with high noise levels and exposure to machines and chemicals. Position spends approximately 95% of time sitting and operating equipment, with about 5% outside inspecting and maintaining the machine. Available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information
- Must be able to follow directions
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds
- Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range
- Must be available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays
