Operator - Disposal Well

Job Summary
Assure safe and efficient operation of the disposal well system by maintaining quality control and complying with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Perform daily tasks including gauging oil, water, and pressure retrieval; monitoring pumps and trucks; retrieving oil from pits; unloading lines, and discharging valves. Generate and document third-party tickets, ensure driver compliance, and coordinate smooth transitions between day and night attendants. Maintain a neat work area, report unsafe conditions, and execute duties with little supervision while working 12-hour shifts in variable weather. Requires a valid driver's license, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts
- Working knowledge and understanding of disposal business
- Ability to lubricate equipment
- Ability to climb staircase and work on catwalk of 15'-25'
- Ability to download and use inspection applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must possess valid driver's license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select's insurance guidelines
- Extremely dependable and reliable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to execute duties based off of instruction with little supervision or guidance
- Exhibits qualities of a team player
- Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
