Job Summary
Chemical Mix Operator at Thatcher Company's chlorine production facility handles chemical repackaging, manufacturing, and maintenance tasks for chlorine, TChlor, and caustic soda; repackages into totes/drums, loads trailers, manufactures TChlor/caustic soda to specified percentages, performs maintenance (painting, washing, bead blasting, valve rebuilds), follows SOPs and safety protocols, maintains records, and communicates with team. Training provided on product knowledge, safety procedures, and PSM; role requires standing 8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and PPE use, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to climb ladders and work at heights
- Ability to don and doff personal protective equipment (PPE) multiple times per day
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and follow proper chemical handling procedures
