Job Summary
Prepare frozen cheese on assigned production lines by setting up equipment, staging raw materials with a pallet jack or forklift, and inspecting blocks before grinding. Remove plastic, sweep food debris, and dispose of waste while maintaining sanitation standards. Track cheese tags for batch sheets and take inventory at shift start and end. Report machinery issues to maintenance and assist with preventive tasks. Apply GMPs, safe work practices, and quality controls to ensure production meets specifications. Maintain a clean work area and communicate product problems to the Team Leader or manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 - 3 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum lifting requirement is 20 pounds, from approximately 6 inches off the ground to up to shoulder height
- Maximum lifting requirement is up to 65 pounds over the same distance and occasionally above shoulder height
- Punctual and reliable in their work attendance
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Severe allergic reaction to this food material or to any of the ingredients used in processing such as flour, baking soda, baking powder, phosphates and their chemical components
- Allergy to cardboard (or its dust)
- Allergy to latex (used in gloves worn in processing)
- Allergy to chlorine (used as a food and surface disinfectant)
