Job Summary
Operate construction equipment in the DC Metro region, performing safe operation, site preparation with internal/external partners, pre-inspections, general equipment maintenance, and clear communication via phone/radio. Requires reading load charts, complying with OSHA/HAZWOPER standards, and working outdoors with PPE; travel to job sites local to the Sterling, VA area with potential long-distance/overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of equipment operating experience in a construction environment
- one (1) to three (3) years of excavation experience
- CDL (preferred)
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher
- OSHA 30-hour training
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Pre-employment drug and background screening
