Job Summary
Prepare and finish components through sandblasting and painting operations in support of repair and manufacturing activities. Operate blasting and painting equipment to clean, restore, and coat parts while following established procedures and safety standards. Mix and apply paints, mask protected areas, and inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications. Perform basic equipment maintenance and safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts after certification. Work 1st and 2nd shifts out of the Milwaukee Service Center in West Allis, WI.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 0-2 years related experience, preferably within a service environment in the power generation industry
- Mechanical aptitude to retain knowledge of sandblasting and painting operations
- Ability to use various hand tools and operate blast equipment, including air tools and grinders
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimal-to-fraction conversions
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and instructions
- Ability to use and interpret basic measuring tools
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

- Must be available for 1st and 2nd SHIFT
