Job Summary

Operate, maintain, and repair facility equipment, quarters, and processing systems from the wellhead to the sales line daily. Monitor well performance, calculate daily rates, and perform troubleshooting while managing discharge water. Execute record-keeping requirements for BSEE and USCG, including safety meetings, emergency evacuation plans, and personnel briefings. Maintain safety shutdown systems, firefighting equipment, and rotating machinery such as compressors and pumps with little supervision. Monitor control panels and process variables to keep operations within designed ranges. Work a 14x14 schedule at a terminal in Galliano, LA, with a preference for candidates residing within a 50-mile radius.

Required Qualifications

  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
  • 2-3 years of experience in offshore oil and gas production
  • Ability to operate, maintain and repair most facility equipment, quarters and activities on a daily basis
  • Ability to operate, monitor, test, and maintain most processing equipment and safety devices from the wellhead to the sales line
  • Ability to monitor the performance of wells and production, calculate daily rates, well testing, perform some trouble shooting, monitor discharge water produced
  • Ability to perform many of the record keeping requirements by BSEE and USCG
  • Ability to operate, test, maintain, repair and record keep most safety shutdown systems and devices in accordance with BSEE regulations and approved facility permit safe chart
  • Ability to operate safety equipment including firefighting equipment, emergency supplies, survival capsules, navigational aids, and alarm systems in accordance with BSEE and USCG regulations
  • Ability to operate and maintain most rotating equipment such as compressors, generators, platform cranes, pumps, winches, etc. in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and little supervision
  • Ability to monitor control panels, shutdown devices, liquid levels, flow rates, temperatures, etc. to keep them within the designed operating range

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 2-3 years' experience
