Job Summary
Conduct blasting operations and support workplace safety in a team environment while maintaining production records and reports. Operate large mine haulage and water trucks, inspect equipment, and initiate corrective actions as required. Maintain two-way radio communications and adhere to MSHA, CAL-OSHA, and BATF explosive safety regulations. Requires CAL-OSHA Blaster license, Employee Possessor's Permit, and California Certificate of Eligibility. Hourly rate is $42.13 for California-based roles. Required Qualifications
- Operator B- Certified Blaster
- Demonstrated track record for supporting workplace safety in a team environment
- CAL-OSHA Blasters License
- Employee Possessors Permit from BATF
- California Certificate of Eligibility
- Understanding and ability to follow MSHA, CAL-OSHA, and BATF explosive safety regulations
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating large (+100 ton capacity) mine haulage and/or water trucks
- Experience in supporting blasting operations
- Capability to maintain production records and reports as required
- Demonstrated capability to inspect equipment and initiate corrective actions as required
- Ability to hear and be understood during 2-way radio communications
- 3 or more years working with a Licensed Blaster
- 3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Understanding of the electrical and mechanical functions of the equipment used
- Current and valid state civil driver's license
- Skills with oxyacetylene cutting, burning, or brazing and making electrical repairs
