Job Summary
Entry-level Operator Assistant I-Cementing assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment at work locations, including spotting cement storage vessels, pre-mixing spacer fluids, and rigging-up data monitoring equipment. Learns operation of cement pumping and related equipment (blenders, liquid additive metering, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition, ADC systems, bulk cement blending, delivery/storage systems, manifolds, cementing plug releasing tools). Assists in pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and related paperwork. Emphasizes safety and environmental compliance, quality improvement, and teamwork as part of the Cementing family. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; may require additional driving licensure. Strong communication, basic math, reading/writing, and basic computer skills are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Requires successful completion of high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.
- May require I-Learn courses: Essential Mathematics, Red Book, and Cementing 1.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
