Job Summary
Operate the console controlling palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack finished product pallets. Comply with safety SOPs for Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, and PPE. Control equipment operation to clear jams and troubleshoot malfunctions, while verifying pallet layers and inspecting cans for misalignment or quality defects using appropriate gauges. Maintain work area cleanliness, perform preventative maintenance checks, and provide backup forklift duties as required. Inform supervisors of equipment issues and defects. Maintain forklift certification and communicate with peers regarding process changes. Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment
- Detail oriented
- Two years experience working in a manufacturing environment
- aptitude for, and work experience with troubleshooting, repairing and applying mechanical knowledge to machines/equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Maintain forklift certification
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Able to visually differentiate colors and read fine print
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shift
