Job Summary
Maintain safe work areas by collecting debris, disposing of sawdust and lumber, and cleaning industrial equipment and workstations. Relieve production positions and operate various light and heavy industrial machinery while adhering to mill safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate flexibility to perform daily job assignments that may change, including working outdoors in all temperatures and rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends. Lift up to 50 pounds and walk, stand, sit, climb stairs, and bend as required. Complete pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and physicals to receive on-the-job training and benefits starting Day 1.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures in loud, high volume environments performing physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position which includes walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform all tasks in accordance with West Fraser safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Successful completion of a drug screen test
- Successful completion of a physical
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of six (6) months in a manufacturing or industrial environment
