Job Summary
Operate a range of earthmoving heavy plant machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, and compactors on the Taupo Solar Farm project. Prepare, position, and maintain equipment while monitoring performance to identify defects. Excavate, load, and transport soil and gravel for trenching and backfilling in accordance with contractual requirements. Comply with all WHS safety practices and environmental policies while completing required maintenance logs. This role supports civil construction activities within the renewable energy sector, requiring precision work with 3-5mm tolerances and a Site Safe (Civil) Card.
Required Qualifications
- Full working rights in New Zealand
- Extensive experience (4+ years) with capable precision work (3-5mm tolerances)
- Site Safe (Civil) Card
- Full Class 1 license
- W,T,R license
- High level of understanding the importance of Health and Safety
- Experience working in 3 waters, trenching, laying cable/pipe
- Experience operating within shields
