Job Summary
Manage secondary finishing operations in the fulfillment department, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule requirements are met while operating multiple machines simultaneously. Oversee setup, maintenance, and repair of equipment including drills, stitchers, and vacuum tables, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime. Perform quality inspections and monitoring across finishing processes to ensure projects meet testing standards and customer specifications. Enforce safety policies, conduct regular training, and track machine uptime via SAP reconciliation tickets. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency and standardize operating procedures. Operates on a 2-2-3 shift schedule (6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM) with an hourly base pay range of $22-$24.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years progressive experience in a printing or bindery environment
- Strong knowledge of bindery processes and equipment, including operation, setup, and maintenance
- Proven track record of supervising and motivating teams to achieve production goals and managing production levels to specific KPI's
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with staff and other departments
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issues efficiently and effectively
- A keen eye for detail is critical for ensuring products meet quality standards and customer specifications
- The ability to stand for long periods
- The ability to lift moderately heavy materials
