Job Summary
Operator Level 2 performs mechanical and microelectronic assembly using soldering, epoxy dispensing, SMT, and microscope-assisted techniques. Responsibilities include assembling products with soldering iron and small hand tools, following drawings and bill of materials, applying epoxy, performing die attach and reflow soldering for microelectronic components, maintaining a clean safe work area, meeting production output with high quality, and communicating issues to leads and management. Requires dexterity and attention to detail, experience with SMT/RF assemblies, and ability to operate under a microscope while coordinating with technicians and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
- 1-2 years soldering or microelectronic assembly experience
- ability to work eight hours under a microscope and use hand tools
- high attention to detail and accuracy
- knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance and safety
- proficiency in soldering and assembly of microelectronic components
- experience with SMT and RF sub-assemblies
- ability to communicate issues to leads and management
