Job Summary
Operate various large machines including extrusion, laminator, tarp, winder, seal cart, and related equipment in a production environment. Load and unload material throughout the production run, then package material for shipment by cutting, wrapping, palletizing, banding, and labeling. Monitor material and machine conditions while maintaining a safe, clean work area through general housekeeping tasks. Learn setup procedures for large machines and demonstrate Team Member Values in daily actions. Promote the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards. May assist in other areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Aptitude to learn mechanical skills
- Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions and maintain accurate records
- Proficient with computers
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to operate forklift, pallet mover, or hoist equipment
- Forklift certification
- Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach
- Exposure to a normal office environment
- Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures
