Job Summary

Oversee daily operations of the gas transmission materials warehouse, including reviewing requisitions, validating material pedigrees, and batching items within the SAP linear asset management system. Reconcile issued, installed, and scrapped materials while researching and purchasing non-stores items as requested. Perform receiving, shipping, and staging of materials for fabrication and field work, executing required inventory functions and managing tool requests. Conduct daily forklift inspections, oversee temporary summer workers, and travel up to 30% of the year to other work locations. Manage freight shipping needs and participate in yearly inventory reviews and obsolete material assessments.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Valid Driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Forklift Certification or ability to obtain
  • Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations 49Part192
  • Understanding of utility and gas transmission process, policies, and standards
  • Pipeline material knowledge
  • Knowledge of steel materials
  • Experience with asset tracking, inventory processes
  • Knowledge of inventory procedures and warehouse safety
  • Computer skills (email, Microsoft office, material management systems)
  • Experience with SAP platform and material management module
  • Knowledge on SAP's linear asset management (LAM) system
  • Possess record-keeping, filing, and organizational skills
  • Get Into Energy - Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification
  • Must be able to safely perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly
  • The ability to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
  • Travel to other work locations with some overnight travel required (up to 25% to 30% travel per year)
  • Drug Test: Required
  • Background Check: Required

Desired Qualifications

  • Equipment operator license for backhoe, excavator, and side-boom
  • Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations 49Part192 is beneficial
  • Understanding of utility and gas transmission process, policies, and standards is a plus
