Job Summary
Clean and lubricate equipment, including changing oil, while maintaining assigned areas free of debris. Assist operators during unit startups, shutdowns, and emergencies, and support general maintenance as directed. Complete daily duty checklists, log entries, and shift turnover communications. Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Ability to work in a variety of environments including hot, cold, damp, and confined spaces
- Ability to climb and work from a ladder or scaffold
- Cooperative temperament in a team environment
- Ability to receive and clearly transmit orders and instructions in such a way as to obtain cooperation and satisfactory work results from others
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this job classification through the medium of tests
- Successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program
