Job Summary
FX Analyst in Market Operations responsible for processing foreign exchange and derivative confirmations, ensuring matched confirmations within SLAs, resolving mismatches, mitigating operational risk, and managing settlements. Responsibilities include handling pre-confirmations, managing payment releases, maintaining client and business reference data, investigating post-settlement issues, and publishing daily management information on KPIs and risk indicators. Build relationships with internal/external clients, escalate issues timely, apply control and regulatory requirements, participate in process-improvement initiatives, and leverage strong analytical skills. Required are deep understanding of FX and derivatives, high proficiency in Japanese, SWIFT MT, CLS settlements, and a background in back-office investment banking operations, along with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline, and strong MS Office skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline
- Experience in an investment banking environment, specifically in back office operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Japanese language
- Knowledge of SWIFT MT messages, payment processing, and CLS settlements
- Ability to work independently and under high pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication with stakeholders
- Understanding of risk controls and regulatory requirements
- Ability to collaborate within a team and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to adapt to staggered shift schedules
