Job Summary
Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans validating robotic systems' performance, reliability, and operational readiness in real-world environments. Design test fixtures, jigs, and automated scripts for hardware and software; select and maintain testing tools to support manual and automated efforts. Conduct rigorous functional, performance, endurance, and environmental testing on robotic hardware and control software. Identify, document, and track defects while analyzing test data to provide actionable insights on product quality. Lead integration testing between mechanical, electrical, firmware, and control subsystems. Collaborate with development teams to verify fixes and participate in design reviews and root cause analysis sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in product testing, quality assurance, or validation, preferably within a robotics, hardware, or industrial automation environment
- Demonstrated experience in designing and documenting formal test plans, test cases, and test procedures from scratch based on high-level product specifications
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test automation and data analysis
- Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or similar system-level testing
- Strong understanding of data acquisition systems, sensor validation, and instrumentation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, Modbus, CAN)
- Familiarity with environmental testing standards (e.g., shock, vibration, thermal)
- Experience with common robotic operating systems or frameworks (e.g., ROS)
- Coding languages such as Python, C++, RUST and SQL
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) or other data-driven quality methodologies
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Linear, Testiny)
