Job Summary
Greet customers promptly, maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, and manage grain origination and marketing with existing and new customers. Assist in elevator operations, receiving, unloading, and grain drying, while measuring grain inventory weekly or monthly. Perform grain train loading including cleaning and sealing cars, test temperatures and blend grain to maintain condition, and assist with fertilizer and chemical operations. Pump bulk chemicals into customer tanks, tender to applicators, and maintain and repair equipment as needed. This seasonal role requires a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally. Applicants must understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment. A Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements is helpful.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment
Desired Qualifications
- Be able to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements
- Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program and maintain current DOT physical
- Good computer skills
