Job Summary
Greet customers, maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, and manage grain origination and marketing with existing and new customers. Perform elevator operations, receiving and unloading grain, drying, and train loading including cleaning and sealing cars. Measure grain inventory weekly or monthly, test temperatures, blend grain, and maintain condition. Assist with fertilizer and chemical operations, including pumping bulk chemicals, tendering to applicators, filling NH3 nurse tanks, and unloading bulk and packaged products. Maintain and repair equipment, keep facilities clean, and ensure housekeeping records are current. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, high school diploma, and understanding of agricultural seasonality.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment
Desired Qualifications
- Be able to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements
- Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program and maintain current DOT physical
- Good computer skills
