Job Summary
The Operations Technician will manage hospital inventory including creating and submitting replenishment orders to centralized purchasing, receiving shipments, and maintaining rotation and cleanliness of Central Supply. Responsibilities include tracking backorders and near-expiration items (e.g., blood products), coding vendor invoices for payment, and recording inventory activity in the hospital management system. The role requires coordinating with clinical managers, supporting daily cycle counts to maintain 100% inventory integrity, assisting with repairs of smaller medical equipment, maintaining regulatory compliance (DEA, SBOP, FDA, OSHA), and handling controlled substances inventories with daily audits. Additional duties include coordinating transport between hospitals, participating in new hire orientation, and serving as the operations point of contact during normal business hours. Strong communication, teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams are desired.
