Job Summary
Formulate or package dry flowable herbicide and perform minor maintenance on formulation or packaging assets. Operate a PIT (fork truck) for loading, unloading, and material movement while conducting safety checks and process troubleshooting. Interpret lab analysis results to adjust processes and utilize electronic tools like Excel and databases. Participate in plant initiatives, communicate shift information to leadership, and ensure compliance with all site rules and EHS&S requirements. Work Monday through Friday with overtime as needed on various off-shift schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent
- Relevant trade school training or technical background
- 2+ years of manufacturing or relevant military experience
- Current, valid, United States driver's license
- Ability to pass a drug screen, background history, and other relevant screens
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Reliable attendance
- Availability for Monday through Friday schedule with overtime as needed
- Availability for off shift schedules: 3:30 pm to midnight or 11:30pm to 8:00 am
- Ability to be regularly medically approved and fit tested for respirator use
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to use standard safety equipment which is rated at 300 pounds or less
- Ability to pull, lift and carry up to 55 pounds multiple times per day
- Ability to maneuver hoses, flange connections and operate valves and similar equipment
- Ability to perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms or other hazard warnings
- Ability to follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation
- Ability to wear uniform and safety equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes
- Ability to safely operate fork trucks, condors, and/or site vehicles
- Ability to work in environments that include tight or closed-in spaces
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work at heights
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform frequent bending and reaching
- Ability to work outdoors and inclement weather
