Job Summary
Lead a team of 30-40 direct reports by distributing workload, conducting performance evaluations, and providing coaching on continuous improvement and problem-solving. Manage daily operations including time and attendance records, capacity analysis, and standardized work deployment to ensure process stability. Drive the team to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics while eliminating waste through Lean Kaizen events. Enforce safety policies, conduct investigations and audits, and collaborate with value stream partners to maximize customer satisfaction. Perform time studies, layout analyses, and develop unified production plans to support robust training. Maintain accurate reporting on key value stream metrics and work with fellow Operations Leaders to create a unified manufacturing team.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years as a Group Leader at AA TECH or 3 or more years' experience supervising in a manufacturing environment outside of AA TECH
- Demonstrated experience with formal or informal team or project leadership
- Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Associate's degree
- Must possess a high level of mechanical aptitude
- 4 or more years in a manufacturing environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States
- Must provide evidence of citizenship or immigration status upon applying for the position
- Must be flexible to meet business needs
- Must be able to sit
- Must be able to use hands to operate a computer
- Must be able to stand and walk occasionally
- Must have close vision
- Must have regular attendance
- Must be able to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks at once
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or greater
- Hands-on experience in the implementation of lean techniques including value stream mapping, 5S+Safety, single piece flow, and standard work
- Strong understanding of quality systems
- Demonstrate strong data collection and analysis capability
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a Technical Field
