Job Summary
Lead a team of 30-40 direct reports during the 2nd shift (2:30pm–10:30pm), supervising daily operations, distributing workloads, and driving lean enterprise systems throughout the value stream. Manage the S&OP Process to support manufacturing and ensure timely logistical processing while maintaining accurate time and attendance records. Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary measures to develop high-performing teams focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics. Perform time studies, capacity analyses, and layout/product flow analyses to determine staffing requirements and eliminate waste through Lean Kaizen events. Develop and deploy standardized work instructions, enforce safety policies, and report on key value stream metrics to support unified business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years as a Group Leader at AA TECH or 3 or more years' experience supervising in a manufacturing environment outside of AA TECH
- Demonstrated experience with formal or informal team or project leadership
- Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Associate's degree
- Must possess a high level of mechanical aptitude
- 4 or more years in a manufacturing environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the United States
- Must provide evidence of citizenship or immigration status upon applying for the position
- Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department
- Must be available for 2nd shift production (2:30pm - 10:30pm)
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree or greater
- Hands-on experience in the implementation of lean techniques including value stream mapping, 5S+Safety, single piece flow, and standard work
- Strong understanding of quality systems
- Demonstrate strong data collection and analysis capability
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a Technical Field
