Job Summary
Supervise floor associates by providing guidance and training to foster a positive, collaborative, and safe work environment. Oversee daily receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, adjusting staffing levels dynamically to hit productivity goals. Implement quality control measures, enforce safety standards, and conduct regular audits to ensure high order accuracy. Assist with cycle counts and coordinate with inventory teams to maintain stock accuracy and minimize discrepancies. Analyze and track performance metrics to drive continuous improvement while coordinating with logistics and management. Lead a team in a warehouse environment requiring lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. This role is part of MilliporeSigma's global operations team dedicated to innovating with science and technology in Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years in a distribution center or warehouse environment
- 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- SAP or Oracle experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., WMS)
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations
