Job Summary

Operations Support Technician I provides level 1 IT operations support and monitoring for Insight’s internal IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include monitoring infrastructure with multiple tools, using ITSM to log and manage issues, monitoring shared mailboxes and collaboration channels for IT incidents, participating in team phone support, handling MACD-type requests, performing 1st level diagnosis and troubleshooting, creating and maintaining IT support documentation, and escalating major incidents as needed. Proven experience in IT event handling/NOC, technical phone support, ITSM tools, and vendor ticket management is required, with preference for ITIL and relevant certifications. A Bachelor’s Degree in computer-related fields is preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience working in an IT event handling/NOC role with basic proficiency
  • 1 year of technical phone support experience with basic proficiency
  • 1 year of experience working with ITSM tools with basic proficiency
  • 1 year of vendor ticket management experience with basic proficiency
  • 1 year of experience working in an IT support role with basic proficiency
  • 1 year of experience supporting Windows server and workstation operating systems
  • 1 year of basic network support experience
  • Preferred: Cisco, CompTIA, or Microsoft certification
  • Preferred: ITIL Framework certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer engineering or IT-related field from a four-year College or University (preferred)
