Job Summary
Entry-level Operations Support Specialist I position providing internal customer service and broad operational support for local and regional Pike Engineering operations. Under supervision, responsibilities include inputting information into databases for time and expense entry, invoicing, accounts payable, and expense reconciliations; general administrative tasks such as mailing, scanning, copying, and receptionist duties; running reports; arranging employee engagement activities; preparing and modifying documents; meeting deadlines; scheduling and calendar management; supporting company and client events; maintaining administrative reports and fleet/ PPE records; monitoring and ordering office supplies; assisting with new employee onboarding; coordinating fleet maintenance and outfitting; and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications emphasize high school education, 0-1 year experience, and ability to operate standard office procedures and equipment. Environment is semi-routine with a fast-paced setting; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED required
- Preferred Associates degree (AA or equivalent)
- 0-1 year experience in similar administrative/support role
- Familiarity with utility or engineering office operations preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and software
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
- Strong organization; ability to manage multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and effective communication skills
- Team-oriented with ability to work with diverse individuals
