Job Summary
Move and carry heavy objects, materials, and equipment safely across Division of Family and Child Health locations. Operate manual, hand-held, and power-driven tools for maintenance and demolition tasks. Maintain lawns, shrubs, and trees through mowing, pruning, cultivating, seeding, and fertilizing. Drive motor vehicles to transport tools and materials between agency sites throughout the boroughs. Ensure a clean, hazard-free work environment while strictly adhering to safety protocols. Aid skilled craftsmen and coordinate daily field activities when assigned. Possess a valid New York State Driver's License, with a Class B Commercial Driver License required for certain appointments. This role supports the largest division within the agency, encompassing 25 programmatic locations and 1700 New York City Public Schools.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Motor Vehicle Driver's License valid in the State of New York
- Possession of a B Commercial Driver License (CDL) valid in the State of New York
