Job Summary
Provide leadership and mentoring to project construction teams while coordinating with functional organizations and recommending improvement opportunities to senior personnel. Render expert opinions on construction field activities, project design, work control, and specialized areas of expertise. Conduct independent reviews and assessments to guide complex, high-technology projects, and interface with management and customer representatives. Review work quality, support compliance functions, and develop and deliver enhanced employee training programs with tracking and scheduling. Requires a bachelor's degree, eight years of construction or maintenance experience, and a DOE Security Clearance. Work schedule is 4/10s.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance
- Eight (8) years related experience or combination of education and relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Eight (8) or more years' experience in the construction or maintenance field
- 5 years of experience supporting the DOE mission
- DOE Construction experience
- CAT II Nuclear Facility experience
- DOE Plutonium Facility
Desired Qualifications
- Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years
- Previous DOE/NNSA work experience
- Good communication skills. (oral and written)
- Good organizational skills
- Can collaborate with others effectively
- Previous qualifications as a Field Work Supervisor or Responsible (Line) Manager
- Previous work experience at LANL or in a DOE Haz Cat II Plutonium facility
