Job Summary
Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time while maintaining operational efficiencies for a book of business. Conduct load building, scheduling, and capacity securement by calling carriers to get additional options and negotiate competitive pricing and rates. Input, update, and manage shipment information, collaborating with the support team to guarantee each shipment is serviced properly. Act as the front-line resource to provide customer service on assigned accounts, assist with billing and accounting responsibilities, and manage a large volume of daily email and phone requests from brokers and customers. Support the Broker(s) and Account Manager(s) by managing operational tasks including load acceptance, appointment setting, and coverage coordination.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the transportation industry, including both the carrier and brokerage departments.
- Ability to leverage outbound lead campaigns effectively to qualify potential sales prospects.
- Empathetic to customer needs with the ability to translate those needs into solutions that deliver value.
- 2+ years of Industry experience
