Job Summary
Prepare all department documentation; respond to internal or client inquiries via telephone, email, fax or in person in a professional manner; perform word processing, record-keeping, filing, data entry, and other general office/administrative tasks; ensure productivity reports meet service level standards; manage order flow in the warehouse management system and on the floor with the team; help coordinate and supervise department activities; resolve work-related problems and submit progress reports; support floor activities (RF Scan, pick, pack, fill); train staff in duties, policies, and safety procedures; ensure computer peripherals and RF scanners function correctly and arrange maintenance as needed; maintain and support various systems and processes to support operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in a distribution, transportation and/or logistics environment is an asset
- You have strong communication skills: verbal, written, listening
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills
- As an Operations Support, you have the proven ability to encourage and motivate others in a positive manner
- You have excellent keyboarding skills; well versed in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Knowledge and experience using WMS and Navigator an asset
- Demonstrates the ability to work with multiple systems simultaneously
- You are willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- You have the ability to maneuver within the facility between departments
- You are able and willing to work overtime as required in order to meet time-sensitive service level standards
- Minimum High School diploma; College diploma preferred.
