Job Summary
As an Operations Support Engineer at York Space Systems, you will be responsible for performing on-console tasks for real-time operations and anomaly investigations for multiple spacecraft missions. You will develop and execute operational documentation, respond to hardware and software anomalies, and monitor the health and safety of both ground and space segments. Required qualifications include a BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science, familiarity with Python, and an active SECRET security clearance. Shift work is required, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to quickly learn operational documentation, software, and hardware design
- Familiarity with Python
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Ability to work well in both a team environment and executing individual tasks
- Ability to regularly work off hours, weekends, and holidays; shift work required
- Active Security Clearance – SECRET
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, orbital dynamics, and ground systems
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint or other project management tools
- Experience with telemetry analysis and trending
- Space situational awareness
- Flight and ground software
- Network administration
- Data management
- General familiarity with current cybersecurity best practices
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
