OPERATIONS SUPPORT ANALYST 1 (Data Centre Infrastructure)

Reporting to the Supervisor, Data Centre Operations, this role participates in the implementation, administration, and optimization of Data Centre Operations and provides ongoing IT solution support. Responsibilities include operation support of software, hardware and network facilities at the enterprise level using monitoring and diagnostic tools; monitoring enterprise systems and network usage, performance and capacity; administering user accounts; responding to inquiries, diagnosing problems, and developing action plans; collaborating with users, technical staff and vendors; supporting upgrades/enhancements to existing systems; participating in technical projects to design and provide operational/technical support; reviewing and improving operational standards and procedures; ensuring availability of enterprise computer hardware, system software, business applications and network connectivity; administering security procedures; maintaining enterprise systems and components; and managing backups and recovery procedures. Key qualifications include post-secondary education in computer science or related discipline or equivalent experience, experience in a Tier-3 Data Centre infrastructure environment (power distribution, cabling, space planning, airflow), familiarity with CAB/change/asset management, batch and online workload processes, enterprise systems monitoring, and experience with ITIL, CAD, Visio and Sunbird DCIM software.
