Operations Supervisor, Waste

Job Summary
Oversee daily waste-operations at the Foxtrap facility, supervising operators and collection drivers to ensure a zero-harm environment, efficient day-to-day performance, and adherence to safety/service standards. Lead workforce planning, coaching, and development; manage work plans to keep projects on schedule and budget; conduct site visits with customers/contractors; participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training; drive continuous improvements to operational processes; oversee SOPs/SWPs, safety meetings, and toolbox talks; manage inventory, asset utilization, and reporting, including regulatory and month-end entries. Strong emphasis on leadership, safety, communication, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of three (3) years in a leadership, managerial or supervisory role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of waste management and environmental services (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to new systems and procedures
- Commitment to Health & Safety
- Ability to conduct site visits and liaise with customers and contractors
- Experience in planning, budgeting, and project execution
- Experience with incident reporting and corrective actions
