Job Summary
Provide operational leadership to ensure daily execution of driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and customer service operations. Supervise logistics processes, people, systems, and equipment scheduling while conducting team meetings and providing relief coverage for absent associates. Manage performance of direct reports, including coaching, counseling, hiring interviews, and making corrective action decisions up to the written warning level. Ensure compliance with safety strategies, financial policies, and regulatory agencies through daily observations and accurate recordkeeping. Plan work assignments to optimize fleet equipment use and maintain relationships with vendors and leasing partners. Monitor attendance, productivity, and MPG tracking to minimize overtime and meet targets.
