Job Summary
Operates as a Night Shift Operations Supervisor at a Penske Logistics site in Liberty, NC, directing drivers and hourly staff to execute loading/unloading, deliveries, and customer-service tasks while aligning with cost and service objectives. Leads team meetings, coaches and evaluates performance, manages attendance and overtime, participates in hiring decisions, and ensures adherence to site operating systems, safety policies, and regulatory requirements. Drives continuous improvement of dispatch methods, productivity, and process methods, and collaborates with vendors and internal teams to meet location goals and customer expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supervising drivers or hourly staff
- Ability to supervise multiple processes and tasks
- Strong coaching and communication skills
- Leadership experience in logistics or transportation
- Experience with performance management and corrective actions
- Ability to plan and manage scheduling and overtime
- Understanding of safety and regulatory compliance in a warehouse/logistics setting
- Experience with customer service operations and dispatch
- Ability to work night shifts and 12-hour shifts
- Capability to work with site-wide operating systems and reporting
